The icecreams are to die for. First time I went, the girl upfront offered to let me taste their popular flavors after she found out it was my first time. I didn't even ask for samples. I thought that was kind as well as business minded. They're all Delicious. And of course I went back. However, the second time it was a young man who helped us, my favorite flavor from my first visit wasn't available but decided to try something else. The biggest turn off this round was the man handing me the ice-cream cone with the same hand I saw him take a customer's credit card. Ewwww. I kindly asked for him to grab another one with clean napkins, and he did and said sorry but this shouldn't have happened in the first place. This won't stop me from coming back but please train your staff on hygiene. Thank you!

After seeing lovely's on TV, I have been waiting for the opportunity to come check it out. Knowing it's famous and featured on TV, I've mostly been hesitant knowing the odds of dealing with a long line to get seated. When my wife suggested that we go for father's day celebration, I figured why not, I've waited long enough. Boy, I'm glad we came! We got there about 15 minutes before opening, and had about three groups after us that all got seated in the first round. We started with the little gem lettuce salad, which was a little bit heavy, but overall very well sauced and I simply couldn't stop eating. Cauliflower soup was very well made, great smooth texture. The Margarita pizza was a solid, well balanced pizza. The fennel sausage with Kale, wow the fennel sausage just so tasty, the kale didn't have that strong earthy and bitter taste, and just paired so well with the sausage. We wrapped the meal with ice cream, malted milk ball, mint stracciatella, strawberry buttermilk, all unique and delicious. Service was solid, it does take a bit of time to get your pizza, but all in all a great experience today.

I recently dined at Lovely's Fifty Fifty and had a great experience. The restaurant offers a delightful selection of dishes, all made with unique recipes and fresh ingredients. Love the pizzas with lots of different greens. Not only are the pizzas exceptional, but every other dish we tried, salad and pasta, was also fantastic. The servers were kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. One of the highlights was the ice cream we had after our meal. The best! However, be prepared for (quite a long) wait, as they don't take reservations. We had to wait for 10 minutes in line before they opened for the first seating. As I didn't wait much in my two visits, I will leave 5 stars, but I can totally see that the wait can be pretty annoying.

Delicious pizza with sourdough crust! Got the mozzarella basil and it was so good and fresh! Coupled with a nice red wine for a nice dinner out! The service is great! The staff was super friendly!

If you love pizza and ice cream, you might love this place! It's not too big and the wait for a table can be well over an hour. The decor is pretty interesting. You can get ice cream to go if that's all you want. A lot of unique and bold flavors to try. The menu changes often and the ingredients seem super fresh! You might have to google a few or just ask the server. We ordered the soup, a salad, and a pizza. The turnip/cauliflower soup with a snap pea pesto was incredible! The focaccia was just okay, but might have been better if warmed up. The salad was simple baby lettuces with a garlic dressing, reggiano cheese, and breadcrumbs. Well dressed and super crunchy - this salad kind of blew my mind how good it was in both flavor and texture! Overall, the pizza was the star! Asparagus and Morel mushrooms with a lot of other stuff, sooooo good! We ordered the red sauce the Calabrian chiles for dipping. Those chiles are way better than I imagined - highly recommended. My mouth is watering thinking about it all again. I can't wait to try other pizzas. The ice cream couldn't be skipped, so we ordered malt chocolate and some kind of mint chocolate chip. Very homemade - fresh mint screams from the ice cream. I learned they make the waffle cones in house and it shows. The staff was okay, but not very attentive or showing a sense of urgency. The food is the best part of this place.

This now famous pizza joint was on Netflix's show " Chef's table: Pizza " and ever since we saw that episode we had Lovely's on our list to visit when in Portland. We got there on a Monday evening 15 minutes after they opened and there was already an hour waitlist. The wait was well worth it! I was skeptical at first because most of the menu seem to vegetarian with very little meat options. In fact all the pizza we ordered had no meat but I was truly impressed, they were some of the best pizzas I ever had! All the ingredients are sourced locally and everything tasted so fresh! One Pizza was made of spinach, asparagus and morel mushrooms. It was tasty, we don't get to eat morels very often. The second one had Rainbow chards, fermented chillies, capers and olives. It was amazing! We also had their homemade soda with elderflower and lemon, very refreshing. At the end of the meal, don't pass on the homemade ice cream. We had the mint stracciatella and it was delightful, tasted like fresh mint leaves! The service was great, friendly and efficient. This is a quaint little pizza shop and it feels very welcoming. We will definitely come again next time we go to Portland!

Absolutely LOVED this restaurant. To be fair, I heard about it on Chef's Table Pizza and have been craving it ever since; its essentially the reason we booked a trip to Portland in the first place. A beautiful homey spot with feminine and artistic accents. Loved being here and the service was TOP TIER. The pizza was next level and truly unlike anything I've tried; very unique ingredients and ultimately had pizzas with a cheese base. And to be honest, you dont even notice there is sauce missing. The ice cream is incredible; definitely order that. If I lived there, I'd be there weekly; its that good. For more, see Instagram @sipsandsizzles

Overall Thoughts: This is a popular Portland pizza spot for good reasons-- the ingredients are fresh, the flavors are sharp and distinct, and the crusts are nice and chewy. The vibes are loud, energetic, and vibrant. They don't do reservations, but my group arrived at ~5:30pm on a Tuesday and though it was decently crowded, we were seated immediately. The service was pretty slow, but friendly and accommodating. Though the individual dishes/pizzas are pricey, the portions are reasonable, so the final price + tip when split among everyone felt fairly standard-- ~$38 pp. Food I tried: - Fennel Sausage Pizza (4.4/5): I liked this one, it didn't feel too heavy or meaty as sausage pizzas usually tend to, and I liked the rosemary aftertaste as well. - Black Trumpet Mushrooms Pizza (4.6/5): This was my favorite pizza out of the 3 we ordered. The taste was very unique. - Regular Pizza with Arugula (4.2/5): Solid standard pizza but a little overpriced for its simplicity. I wish it had more cheese on it. - Curly Kale Salad (4.2/5): This was a pretty standard kale caesar salad that tasted good, with a nice sour tang. - Polenta with Roasted Brussel Sprouts (4.4/5): This was a nice appetizer; the brussel sprouts were flavorful and the polenta was super creamy. - Strawberry Buttermilk & Buckwheat Honey Toffee Ice Cream (4.5/5): Both scoops were creamy with the perfect level of sweetness. The buckwheat flavor was unique and tasty. -- Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5 Food: 4.4/5 Ambience: 4.7/5 Service: 4.6/5 Overall Value: 4.4/5

This was maybe the best pizza I've ever had. Light and tasty toppings, flaky but chewy crust. Coincidentally vegetarian - but it had enough savory unctuousness and lightness that you didn't miss having oily meat on it But don't come just for pizza. It was also maybe the best salad and ice cream, too. All three courses were a hit, and I love the seasonal fresh farm produce. The endive brought just enough bitterness to the well dressed Caesar salad. The spears of leaves also give a great body to the salad and the dressing coated each piece brilliantly. The ice cream was firm and chewy in the absolute best way. Served in a chilled bowl: nice touch. The service deserves mention as well. This isn't a pizza shop; rather, it's a restaurant the specializes creating a wonderful experience around pizza. Our server was very helpful and friendly. She made great recommendations and shared details about each ingredient, its seasonality, and built a profile for each item on the menu. We got two straws and two spoons because we said we were sharing. These little details really elevate the experience. The dinnerware was also of high quality-nice earthen ceramics from various makers, including highly -esteemed Heath ceramics.
